Integration status
The PMDG 737-800 PAX with blended winglets (PMDG 737-800 PAX BW HD for MSFS 2024, tested with PMDG package 4.0.61) is in qualification. It is experimental: the add-on is not enabled for flights on FSHANGAR and is not part of the public app (1.6.2).
| Capability | Status |
|---|---|
| Hangar identity | Experimental: Boeing 737-800, CFM56-7B engines, blended winglets. |
| Flight tracking | Experimental: position, speeds, altitude, attitude, gear, flaps and other generic flight values, plus engine N1 and N2. |
| Maintenance | Experimental: a dedicated 737-800 programme. Every interval is an A320 proxy, not Boeing data. |
| Failure injection | Not supported. PMDG documents no interface to trigger, read or clear failures. |
Known limits
- EGT, fuel flow, oil temperature and oil pressure are not available from this aircraft. FSHANGAR records them as unavailable, never as zero, and derives no wear from them.
- APU switch position 3 is reported as unknown.
- Only the PAX blended-winglet preset is recognized. Liveries tested: PMDG House PAX BW, KLM PH-BCA and Transavia PH-HSC. The SSW, BCF, BDSF and BBJ2 variants are not recognized.
- Airworthiness directives for the 737-800 come from the FAA, its State of Design. This support is in qualification and nothing is published to accounts.
Required PMDG setting
FSHANGAR reads the aircraft through the PMDG SDK data broadcast, which you enable yourself. FSHANGAR never edits PMDG files.
- Close MSFS 2024.
- Open 737_Options.ini in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\WASM\MSFS2024\pmdg-aircraft-738\work\.
- In the [SDK] section, set EnableDataBroadcast=1. Add the section and the line if they are missing.
- Save the file and start MSFS 2024.
Liveries
- Install the livery for the PMDG 737-800 with PMDG's own livery tools.
- Start MSFS 2024 once so the livery is available.
- Run Scan liveries (or Rescan) in the app to add its registration to the hangar.
Procedures
The app's procedure library includes 139 Boeing 737NG documents. They are editorial drafts written for FSHANGAR, not Boeing or PMDG manuals.
