Fly
AvailableFlight Tracking
Recording starts by itself once the confirmed flight is ready.
Reviewed 2026-10-01 · FSHangar App (Windows) 1.4.2
How recording starts
There is no separate start button. After you confirm the flight, the app verifies the aircraft and departure airport, loads the flight's failure scenario, and asks you to acknowledge any known INOP item. With the aircraft on the ground and both engines stopped, recording starts automatically.
During the flight
Keep the app running. Flight Tracking shows the live flight, the simulator connection and the failures that occur during the flight.
- Confirm that Flight Tracking is recording before departure.
- Watch for a lost simulator or server connection.
- Use the aircraft add-on's procedures to manage its systems.
How the flight ends
- After a landing, the app checks that the arrival airport is the SimBrief destination.
- Shut down both engines.
- The app uploads the flight and completes it with FSHANGAR.
A technical event in flight
A failure visible in the simulator and a defect stored in FSHANGAR are related but distinct. After the flight, inspect the aircraft record and maintenance options.
