Troubleshooting
AvailableFrequently asked questions
Short answers to the most common product questions.
Reviewed 2026-10-14 · FSHangar App (Windows) 1.4.2
Do I need an account?
Yes. The hangar, flights and maintenance belong to an FSHANGAR account, and the Windows app is linked to it with a connection token.
Do I need SimBrief?
Yes. Flight Prep uses your SimBrief flight plan, and the flight must end at its destination.
Is this only a web application?
No. The Windows app connects to MSFS; the website provides the online fleet experience.
Does FSHANGAR inject failures?
Yes, technical failures: the Failure Engine page sets the next flight's failures per aircraft (Auto, Manual or Random). Capabilities vary by aircraft; see the family page.
How is my reputation calculated?
Each completed flight and some maintenance and integrity events add or remove points in four components (Pilot, Fleet, Financial, Integrity), which form a weighted score between 0% and 100%. A normal valid flight is worth about +2.5 reputation points. See Reputation System V2.
Does it use real EASA directives?
Yes, and only those: airworthiness events come exclusively from applicable EASA ADs, never from manual or random injection. The feature is currently enabled for a restricted group of accounts.
Are planned aircraft supported today?
No. Planned targets do not establish public compatibility.
Does it restore every cockpit switch?
This guide does not make that claim. Persistence scope is described per aircraft and release.
What if MSFS crashes?
On the next start, the app asks what to do with the previous flight: Retry to finish it, or Discard. Check the Flight Log before flying it again.
Can I use MSFS 2020 or multiple PCs?
These are not documented for the current release.
Does immobilizing a fleet stop calendar maintenance?
In the planned utilization model, no: calendar deadlines continue.
