Identity is more than a model name
The family, variant, engine option, livery and registration distinguish individual aircraft. Verify the registration selected in Flight Prep against the aircraft loaded in MSFS.
Fenix variants
The Fenix integration covers the A319/A320/A321 family, with CFM/IAE and wingtip configurations handled as aircraft variants. Detection depends on the installed add-on and its livery data.
Adding aircraft
- Install the livery in the simulator.
- Run Scan liveries in the app (later: Rescan; View liveries shows what was found).
- Review the resulting aircraft in your hangar.
- Check for an existing record before adding another aircraft with a similar name or livery.
Missing or ambiguous registration
The app identifies the loaded aircraft from its livery and, when available, the simulator's ATC ID. If a livery is not in the app's local catalog and the ATC ID is empty, the aircraft is not recognized: run Rescan.
In Flight Prep, the aircraft list can be limited to Compatible aircraft only and to Only aircraft at the departure airport. When the loaded aircraft is unavailable, Flight Prep can confirm another aircraft of the same type from your hangar; the flight is then recorded on the confirmed aircraft.
See Missing Fenix liveries for an incomplete scan.
